Include Missing Value as a Bucket on a Kibana Pie Chart?

Hello. I've discovered for myself an issue with Kibana that seems to be a long-running issue on GitHub: Including missing value as a bucket on piechart and other chart aggregations.

I've found the documentation of the "Advanced" features to be sparse. I had hoped that perhaps I could use the JSON Input feature to simply add on a bucket for "missing" values.

How do I do this?

I like a lot of features about Kibana but think the documentation leaves a lot to be desired. Perhaps a "gallery" along the lines of what matplotlib does?

Which version of Kibana are you using? If I understand your question correctly, we added support for this in version 6.2: https://github.com/elastic/kibana/pull/15525
