Install Logstash without internet connection

Hey guys,

I must install logstash on a server which has no active internet connection. But as I know the server needs a connection to resolve the repositories online, is there a possibility to install it without the internet as a downloadable package which I can store on him via ftp?

Best regards,
Robert

Logstash itself doesn't require an internet connection. If you need to install additional plugins you can create an offline plugin pack on an internet-connected machine and transfer that file to the Logstash machine.

@magnusbaeck thanks for your reply.

Ok for ElasticSearch and Kibana are RPM packages availlable, but not for logstash. Is there a other possibility because yum needs a internet connection (I followed the documentation and I faced an error while installation with yum)

Best regards,
Robert

What about the RPM at Download Logstash Free | Get Started Now | Elastic?

Oh... I looked directly into the docs for the manually/rpm section. So its a failure of mine ...

Thank you @magnusbaeck

Best regards,
Robert
