Is it necessary to change role for kibana in the Users setting?

Hi !

I just installed x-pack for elasticsearch 5.0.0-alpha4 and walking through the installation step so that I did not miss anything.

I realized one thing in the x-pack Security setting and would like to ask a question.

Problem
Role setting for user kibana in Users view and Roles view are different.

Question
Do I need to modify the Users setting for kibana user as kibana_user?

Hi Yu,

You do not need to modify anything. The kibana user and the kibana role are for the Kibana server user that Kibana uses to communicate with elasticsearch by itself. THe kibana_user role is for user that you create that should have access to kibana.
