Is it possible to transfer indices from a linux copy of elasticsearch to a Windows copy of elasticsearch?

I have to change my OS, and have to change the version of elasticsearch and kibana along with it. Is it possible to transfer the indices or do I have to create them separately for Windows ?

elasticsearch version on linux - 7.3.2
Kibana version on linux - 7.3.2

elasticsearch version on WIndows - 7.7.1
Kibana version on linux - 7.7.1

It should be better first migrate the version on your linux to 7.7 and then use the snapshot to backup and restore your indices
