Kibana config with Timelion and a seperate Marvel cluster

(Peter Paul Holzhauer) #1

We use a seperate Elasticsearch cluster for Marvel & Watcher. We changed the elasticsearch.url to the monitoring cluster to work with the Marvel plugin in Kibana.

When we start to use timelion it doesn't see the indexed data in the main Elasticsearch cluster. I assume timelion looks at the "elasticsearch.url" in the kibana.yml.

How to setup the kibana.yml to work with Kibana, Timelion and Marvel with a seperate monitoring cluster ?

You currently can't, you need separate KB instances for each of the clusters.

Then I have to make a seperate config/installation of Kibana for Marvel.

Separate install, yes
