The most common username at my workplace is all digits. Kibana's restrictions force me to create usernames that users will not remember easily.

Unfortunately, this is a known issue tracked in this Github issue.
For the time being, as you could use the Elasticsearch relevant API directly in order to create your users as described here
Thanks Ioannis! I added the user via the API and thought I can edit it via Kibana. Unfortunately, the validation is applied even on edit.
