Migrate indexes elasticsearch 1.6 vers 5.6?

hello, I have elasticsearch 1.6 installed on my machine, I am trying to migrate to 5.6.2, I need to keep my indexes.Have you any solutions ?

Due to the difference in versions, you will need to reindex in order to upgrade. If you are going to reindex, why not go directly to 6.5 instead of 5.6?
