Need Help configuring squid reverse proxy with Kibana3 and elasticsearch

We were able to setup a squid proxy to our Kibana 3 webserver, however we
want to setup a reverse proxy so that users won't have to manual input the
proxy information inside their web browser. The forward proxy worked fine,
however with the reverse proxy, when the page loads, it won't bring up any
data from the elasticsearch cluster. One of our analysts has determined the
json code is not being cached. The JVM is redirecting to the elasticsearch
servers.

squid.conf:

acl mynetwork src xxx.xxx.xxx.0/24

If anyone can help, it will be greatly appreciated.
