We have installed metricbeat on our virtual windows elastic servers and are measuring network traffic (customer decision to work on virtual windows servers).
We have the following packet loss on one machine:
Is this something to worry about or not? If I understand correctly, you can have 1-2% packet loss. But since the default graphs only show the total amount of packet loss, how to decide whether this is alarming or not?
As you said, this metric will be more useful if compared with the total number of packets received. You can visualize system.network.in.packets in addition to system.network.in.dropped.
