Hi everyone, I’m wondering if there is an official patch release cycle for the basic free version of Kibana and Elasticsearch? For example, 2 major updates per calendar year, etc.

We don't have a set cycle, no. Generally we do release a major version every year, minors every 6-8 weeks, and patches as needed.
