Persist top level menus

When I open a thread I lose any access to jump to anything other than the top level, ie I cannot easily go from Unread to an unread post and then back to all Unread threads without hitting the horizontal menu in the top right.

It'd be super handy if the top level menu persisted.

Additionally, my general workflow is just to keep pecking at suggested topics at the bottom which show unread first

I had no idea of those shortcuts! Very handy.
