Remove unwanted Fields From an Index Pattern

Hi,

I am trying to remove several unwanted fields from an index pattern, as the index pattern has reaches 975 fields, most of which are garbage.

I've tried deleting the pattern and recreating it, but they just appear once again.

I've deleted all the documents which contain the garbage fields.

Any ideas?

Elastic and Kibana v 6.0.0 GA
