Shield Security Plugin

Hi,

Does Shield http://www.elasticsearch.org/overview/shield/, the security
plugin for ES, support encryption of data at rest? If not, has anyone used
an alternative, like ecryptfs on RHEL, to achieve this?

Thanks,
JD.

Hi JD,

Shield does not support encryption of data at rest. Yes, as you suggest,
you could look at options like encryptfs or dm-crypt to achieve this.
