Should i configured xpack on filebeat?

Hi !

I have a question, should i configured xpack on filebeat ? or just in Elasticsearch ?
because according to this link it says

Verify that the xpack.security.enabled setting is true on each node in your cluster. ...

I'm not sure what node means. Is it term for Elasticsearch or other ELK Stack component is a node.
