Tilemap: Could not retrieve manifest from the tile service: status -1

Using Kibana 5.4.1

While trying to visualize geoip, I am getting the following alert: Tilemap: Could not retrieve manifest from the tile service: status -1
I can see the points but no map in the background.

I am running on a linux machine with no https connection to the internet.

@ssasporta the Tilemap uses an Elastic hosted WMS server, so if you don't have a connection to the internet you won't be able to see the tiles. You could potentially run your own WMS server and use this with the Tilemap, or create a firewall exception for the Elastic hosted WMS server.
