Time(y axis) in timelion

I have plotted date along x axis.Is there a way to plot time of format HH:mm in timelion along y axis.

I guess your use case is probably trying to show elapsed time on the y-axis like for ex : how long on average jobs take to run, may be. But, to answer your question, currently this is not possible in Timelion. This seems worthwhile of an enhancement request for Timelion here: https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues

I just changed the index pattern to match HH:mm and it worked in line chart.Why is it not possible in timelion.Is there any changes (in index pattern or advanced settings) i can make such that the y axis DISPLAY alone is of format HH:mm

Its not a feature supported by Timelion yet. Hence its worthwhile to file an enhancement request as discussed .
