Timelion legend out of plot area

What if instead of this:

Is there a way to make the legend use that upper space? Kinda like this (sorry for my poor Paint skills)

I know that upper area is part of the graph because it activates the time bar that appears in every Timelion chart on the dashboard... so why not use that for legend, instead of throwing it in the middle of the plot area?

For example, one of the problems I have with Timelion's legend over the plot area is this:

thats unfortunately not possible.

so sad. Gives me the impression that Timelion was thought only for using as one big graph, and not slim small panels on a dashboard.
