Tribe nodes between different Cluster-Versions?

Hey guys,

Is it possible to have a tribe node set up between and ES 1.7X Cluster and an ES 2.3X Cluster?

Since upgrading to ES2.X would break all of my current indices, I´d like to run a second up to date cluster with the "new " data incoming while haveing an "old" one for historical reasons untill, these data get aged out.

No it won't work.
You have to do this "tribe" feature by yourself on a client level IMO.
