TSVB Time filter question

I've tried finding some documentation on it, but how does the TSVB visualization calculcate its aggregation? Especially a simple "count". It shows way too high data count compared to the total documents:

I am just trying to create a table which is grouped by various fields, then showing their total and applying various aggregations. This is the POC in excel:

Perhaps this is doable using another visualization type?

If you're using a recent version of Elastic Stack, I'd advise to use the Lens visualization. It allows you to dynamically add fields to the visualization while you're building it, which provides a lot of exploration possibilities for other views of your data.
