Unable to start ElasticSearch in Windows 11

Hello ES Team,

I am unable to run the Elasticsearch in my web browser after installation. The browser returns a message "ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" after access the 9200 port after running the elasticsearch I receive this message. Please find the screenshots below.

Please let me know if I am missing something. I followed the below mentioned steps.

  1. Download Elasticsearch Zip file
  2. Run Elasticsearch Batch file
  3. Open http://localhost:9200 in my web browser after few minutes.

Try https://localhost:9200 (note https instead of http).

Thanks. The issue is resolved. Just a quick question.

Is it a necessity to use HTTPS. Is it not possible that http protocol supports ES features? Can we not have a change to support the ES features using http.
