We set up heartbeat on a separate box in order to ping our various websites. That data all shows within the Uptime tab in Kibana. However, when I click "Show host metrics" for a certain row, it doesn't show anything on the Metrics tab of Kibana, yet if I don't put a filter I can see all of our boxes that have Metricbeat installed. I'm having a hard time understanding how to link everything. Are there any good tutorials around on this? I'm definitely a newb.
The "Show Host Metrics" link is based on IP. In some cases the IP of the site heartbeat monitors may not match that used by metric beat. Is that the case in your situation?
