Uninstalling elasticsearch

Hello,

I have downloaded elasticsearch v. 1.3.2 and am looking to uninstall it
because I downloaded it on my root directory and not in the bin folder.

I am trying to use the attachments plugin and can't get it to work. I also
don't have the plugin command that elasticsearch comes with. I'm not sure
if this is because of the version or if it is a by product of not
downloading it to the bin directory.

Either way I should downloaded to the bin directory to avoid future
problems.

My OS is Ubuntu Server 14.04, I downloaded a debian package, I used sudo
apt-get to orginally download the debian file.

I've done a could installs of elasticsearch now and I deleted all the files
before and tried to reinstall and ran into a bunch of problems. I really
don't want to reinstall the OS but I'm not sure how to do a clean uninstall
of elasticsearch.

The files I know of:
~/elasticsearch-1.3.2.deb
~/etc/elasticsearch/ elasticsearch.yml and logging.yml
/var/lib/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/nodes/0 indices(empty directory)
node.lock _state(containes global-13)
/var/log/elasticsearch a bunch of .log.date files
/tmp/elasticsearch (empty directory)
/tmp/hsperfdata_elasticsearch 4352

Thats all I could find.

If you downloaded to /root and then extracted and run it there, you can
just delete the whole directory you extracted.
That will delete the data as well, so be aware of this.
