I want to update kibana . Please tell if I have to do fresh intall or is there any option to update?

Just Kibana, as you should normally at minimum update Elasticsearch and Kibana at the same time to the same versions.
A fresh install versus upgrade depends on if you want to keep your data and settings ?
This also depends on your setup and current deployment ... cloud, docker, linux, windows etc...
Without any information, it isn't easy to offer suggestions, other than to consult the documentation for installing or upgrading, if there isn't an actual problem or issue
