X-Pack monitoring with tribe node

Hello.

I have configured 2 clusters(dc1 and dc2) with tribe node. However , when I open up the "Monitoring" menu , I only see one cluster dc1 . I was expecting to see dc1 and dc2 at the top.

I saw this page in the document about the monitoring cluster but do you need a monitoring cluster to monitor separate clusters?

If you have multiple clusters, they all need to be monitored. Tribe won't pull in stats from other clusters.

@warkolm

Thanks as always.

So my choice for view dc2 will be ,

  1. Send monitoring data from dc2 to dc1
  2. Set elasticsearch.url to dc2

are these correct?

Basic licenses do not let you monitor multiple clusters, see https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions

Ah I see. Got it . Our customer's subscription starts at June . I will wait till then.
