Are Kibana console and sense same?

I was reading elasticsearch guide then I tried to install Sense. While I was trying to install Sense I noticed the console section seems same as Sense screenshots. Is the guide out of date and Sense is merged to Kibana?

Yes, Sense is now called Console. So depending on the version of Kibana you are using.

You referenced the Elasticsearch 2.4 guide, so I think that would be correct in referring to it as Sense as that would be compatible with Kibana 4.x;
Elasticsearch: The Definitive Guide [2.x] » Getting Started » You Know, for Search… »

I think the rename from Sense to Console coincided with the 5.0 release where Console is built-in to the Dev Tools tab of Kibana.

Which appears to be a site that lets users add comments to external web pages (like updates to Elasticsearch: The Definitive Guide [2.x])

I can't vouch for anything users add there.
