can i create an new index at " kibana.index: .kibana" in kibana.yml or
change the name of " kibana.index: .kibana" .

I tried to modified .kibana to . kibana2, but kibana cannot startup normally.

if it's a way to do this change, can i use this way to make user only can see charts or dashboards under his index, like .kibana, or .kibana2?

thanks,

Yes, if you change kibana.index Kibana will start storing your visualizations, dashboards, index patterns, etc in the new index. It does require a server restart. If you want to partition your saved data, a possible solution is to have multiple Kibana servers with each one pointing to a different index.

What error are you getting when Kibana doesn't start? And what version of Kibana?
