Can Logstash 7.x work with elastic 8.x

Hi all
I have a question before upgrading elastic to 8.x
Do i have to upgrade all logstash and filebeat node to version 8.x or it can be keep at version 7.17
Since there is a lot of logstash and filebeat node in my system so upgrading them will take a lot of time which i'm not sure i have.

If i dont have to update then will the be any issue can be cause by logstash in the version 7.17 to elastic 8.x

But yes, Elasticsearch 8.0 and 8.1 will support Logstash 7.17.
