I want to add and customised filter on top of the dashboard which will filter out the data how to do it? kibana version 5.4
You can "pin" a filter using the thumbtack icon created on the discover tab and it will show up on the dashboard.
Does that help? If not, what kind of customized filter do you wish to add? Perhaps editing a filter will be sufficient?
