I have PII that I would like to mask. Is it possible to mask it with X-Pack? I know you can restrict certain fields from certain users but I am wondering if it is possible to keep the fields viewable but the data has just been filled with generic data.
Not masking at the moment.
You can do it with Logstash during ingestion, have field: obfuscatedvalue and then field: originalvalue and then limit access to the latter like you said.
