Can't get the Upgrade Assistant to show up in Kibana

Hey Everybody,
I'm trying upgrade to Elasticsearch 6 and the docs recommend to use the upgrade assistant. I have x-pack installed and I added the Basic license which worked fine. However, when I went to Kibana > management there is no upgrade assistant listed (or ElasticSearch section at all).

I'm running Kibana 5.4 and x-pack 5.4, do I need to upgrade them first or something?

I think the upgrade assistant was added in 5.6, so you will need to upgrade to that first I believe.
