Date Range of returned documents

I was writing some reports for the boss and was using the timepicker option "Last week" and was wanting to but a Panel in the Dashboard for what the actual date range was.

I can think of any way to do this,

Basically I want 1 panel to say " Report for 11/11/2016 to 11/18/2016" or similar formating.

Any thoughts?

It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but maybe it gets close enough...

You could create two simple metric visualizations that do a min/max on the date field that you're aggregating on. It wouldn't show you the actual edge values that you're using as the filters, but it would show you the data values that fall within them.

Yah sort of what I just came up with too. guess I forgot to say I am Kibana 4 :smiley:
