Dotted lines in visualization when doint split series with Kibana 7.12.0

Since the update to Kibana 7.12.0 we see these annoying dotted lines going to zero in case there is a data sample or two missing (no dense data) that is split like this:

But if we filter for e.g. on device, things look like before:

How do we change the settings to get rid of those dotted/dashed lines?

This is a new feature that shows you areas where your data has gaps. You can change it in Panel settings -> Fill missing values. There are 5 modes you can choose from.
