Edit via url from field with filename in it

source: /mnt/logs/core1ui2/Log_2018-03-23-11.log -- string field with name of log in it.

is there a way to allow users to view the actual file (it's local to kibana ui) from the kibana discover screen?

I've changed the field format to url but double clicking on link returns a 404.
url selected is x.x.x.x:5601/mnt/logs/core1ui2/Log_2018-03-23.log
