Encountering 'Name must match one or more data streams, indices, or index aliases' error when creating a data view in Kibana 8 Discover section

Hello, hope you're doing well.

When I try to create a data view in the Discover section of Kibana 8, I encounter the following error message for any index pattern I write in the index pattern field:

"Name must match one or more data streams, indices, or index aliases."

I even tried entering "." and "netflow-*", but still face the same error. How can I resolve this issue?

Do you actually have any indices or data streams?

Go To stack Management -> Data Views - Create Data View

I am not sure what you expect that index pattern value needs to match something on the right list of datastreams / indices not just random text.

Try
logs-*

You can name it what you want but the index pattern needs to match datastreams are indices that already exist.
