HDR histogram percentiles with a TSVB visualization?

Hey everyone,

While I am able to use the custom "JSON input" options on other visualizations like a line graph, it doesn't seem like I can for TSVB. I'm finding the regular percentile aggregation to be very slow (I'm trying to graph latency) and am seeing much better performance on the HDR histogram.

Is there any way to get the TSVB percentile aggregation to use HDR?

This is not currently supported, and I don't see an issue in Kibana for this. There is a generic request for visualizations, but because TSVB uses its own backend for querying, we generally have separate issues for TSVB. https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/40612
