how can i add new index pattern while i already have an existing index pattern?

Just click Create Index Pattern again. You can have multiple patterns at once in Kibana.

Can you tell us a little more about what you're trying to achieve? E.g.:

  • what is the current index pattern
  • what indices are there
  • what index pattern do you want to create
  • what do you want to achieve by creating the new pattern. Is the old one missing something?

  • what is the current index pattern - filebeat*

  • what index pattern do you want to create - another name but but still using the filebeat.
  • what do you want to achieve by creating the new pattern. Is the old one missing something?
  • in one kibana, i can monitor all my server logs by using the filebeat.
  • like for example if i have a 2 servers (transaction servers) server 1 using filebeat and server 2 using filebeat also. In kibana i want to create 2 index pattern to have an option to switch to another index.
