Is is possible to enable authentication on Kibana with basic license?

Hi,
I've downloaded and installed Elasticsearch and Kibana 7.5.1 (on-prem).
I can see that the basic license has: "Default security and authentication for every deployment".
What does exactly mean?

  • Can I protect Elasticsearch web services with "basic authentication"?
  • If I enable this feature which is the default user to use web services?
  • Can I enable authentication to access to Kibana?
  • If yes, which is the default user for Kibana?

yes. It is possible to enable authentication for Elasticsearch and Kibana web UI.
You have to add build-in users that comes with kibana.
