Is the current (Kibana 7.5.2) TSVB component still differing from other visualization types

Hi,

Is the current TSVB component (Kibana 7.5.2) still using his own index-pattern instead of using the Kibana defined index patterns as other visualizations do? Has this strange discrepancy now been fixed?

There have been improvements to how index patterns are used in TSVB. It will read the default index pattern, but the work to port it to the visualization framework is not finished as it's basically a full rewrite.
