Is there anything "free of cost" in X-Pack?

Following up my question How to install and use a community beat?

I would like to monitor my elastic cluster using X-Pack. Is there anything free to achieve this? Are all X-Pack features are paid / trial only?

X-pack is made available as part of subscriptions. Most of the X-Pack features are available at the Gold and or Platinum level, but there is also a free Basic licence that gives you access to monitoring for your cluster.
