Kibana 6 and ElasticSearch 2

Hi,

We are running version 2.x of ElasticSearch in our production environment.
We are currently in the process of migrating everything to version 6.2+.

Meanwhile, we have an urgent need to perform live queries against our ES 2.x in production.

So the question: may I install the last version of Kibana in prod and will this version be able to interact with ES 2.x ?

No, that is not possible. Kibana 6.x is not compatible with Elasticsearch 2.x. See the support matrix for further details.
