Is there a way to install the rpm file for kibana and follow a different directory structure layout other than what's mentioned here: https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/rpm.html#rpm-layout
I want to know if there is a way to avoid having the config file in "/etc" and whether it could be in another directory path?
Hi @cool_guy99
Have you tried installing Kibana with .tar .gz?
All files and directories are, by default, contained in the directory created when unpacking the archive.

@dgonzalezp, this: Kibana oss 7.2.0 service not starting was the reason I had taken the route for rpm. Do you know of a way by which we could change the location of the config file using rpm itself i.e placing it in another directory than /etc
Hi @cool_guy99
Im not sure if there is a way to change the location of the config file using rpm for that reason I told you about .tar .gz. But I can help you to fix this Kibana oss 7.2.0 service not starting
