I know that Elastic currently has an official Chef cookbook for Elasticsearch, although I wonder why there isn't one for Logstash, and potentially even Filbeat and Kibana. I'm currently in the process of attempting to upgrade to Logstash 5.0 but unfortunately the current cookbook we're using (https://github.com/lusis/chef-logstash) isn't ready for 5.0 (has many issues with the new version) and hasn't been updated in over a year.
It would be great if Elastic decided to maintain an official cookbook that way Chef users can immediately take advantage of it when you release a product for general availability.
