Hey everyone currently I am developing an Elastic Integration for openVPN. The normalization of the logs is no problem for me. But now I would like to have metrics as well and of course they should be nicely visualized in Kibana.
As far as I understand it now, you use metricbeats for this purpose. However, it is not so clear to me how I can implement this in my integration.
I have seen that there are already modules here of course not yet for openVPN therefore I am implementing that. Is there an abstract module here where I can implement the logic in the integration or do I have to implement a module here first to get it upstream before I can reference it in the integration?
