To separate x-pack plugin from core kibana

hi,
we want to separate the x-pack plugin from core Kibana and move it to folder plugins in the root folder Kibana and convert the x-pack plugin to an external plugin then we can first bootstrap core Kibana and install the x-pack plugin as an external plugin

I don't think this is possible, x-pack used to be a separated plugin on anciente versions like 5.X, but it has been part of the core of Kibana now.

hi,
Is it possible to move plugins like Dashboard, and Discover to the external plugin folder?

As mentioned, I don't think this is possible, these are core features of Kibana, you would need to change the code and test it yourself.

This is not something that is expected to be done. What you want to achieve with that?

hi,
We want to separate the Kibana core for other projects as it adheres to coding standards.
Is this possible?

No, as I said I do not think this is possible, and looking closely I also do not think this is allowed by the license.

Keep in mind that Elasticsearch and Kibana are not open source anymore and there are some limitations on what you can do.

You can read the license here.

In the Limitations you have this mentioned:

You may not move, change, disable, or circumvent the license key functionality in the software, and you may not remove or obscure any functionality in the software that is protected by the license key.

What you described in your first post seems to fall in this category.
