Tooltip on the map gets reset when dashboard is in auto refresh?

If I click on a feature on my map, I get the details of the features of each layer and I can go between them with the left/right arrows on the tooltip. But when the dashboard is auto-refreshed, the layer options disappear and I just see the bottom layer. Is there a better way to set the map up to avoid this? See the below sequence - the first 3 pictures show the tooltip and I can go between the layers. But once auto-refersh occurs, I see only the 4th picture

Unfortunately I don't have a quick solution to this issue as it sounds very likely to be a bug. We've identified similarly challenging tooltip auto-refresh behavior here. I've created a github issue here. Please feel free to add any helpful details to reproduce if you'd like!
