I am taking the Data Analysis in Kibana training course. In lab 5.3 step 3 you are supposed to add a new map layer from Documents using the users* index. The index exits in the Management panel and is available in Discover, but does not show up as an index pattern in the maps Documents source. The only index patter available is user_messages*. Is there a step I am missing to make the users* index available in Maps?

The user documents do not have the location mapped as a geo point, so that index pattern does not show up. This is something we will fix in the next release of the course. For now, you can use user_messages* index pattern and plot messages instead of users instead.
