I have a basic X-Pack license for monitoring one of my clusters, which I updated this morning as the previous one expired over the weekend. Now the Monitoring app is showing two clusters, both with the same name, and both greyed out with a message advising me that the basic license only covers monitoring a single cluster. So somehow the montioring app isn't recognising the cluster as being the same one as before, and think there are two clusters. How do I go about getting the monitoring app working again as I am now blind to the single cluster it is supposed to be monitoring?

It sounds like at some point a cluster was copied (probably a temporary one).
The easiest solution here is to just delete your .monitoring-data-2 index and it will flush out the old cluster. The existing cluster will recreate the index on-demand.
