6.3 eta and x-pack open source question

Heya,
Any eta on 6.3 ? And regarding x-pack going open, will it have all features like paid one has now for free ? even for commercial use ?
Is it only the support that is paid from 6.3 on ?
Thanks

I moved your question to #x-pack.

Any eta on 6.3 ?

We don't communicate on that. Dates can change.

And regarding x-pack going open, will it have all features like paid one has now for free ?

No. It does not change the licenses and features. See https://www.elastic.co/subscriptions

It "just" adds a way for you to see the source code, open issues. Specifically if you have X-Pack Basic (free), you can open issues and contribute if you wish.

So basically, the Security feature of x-pack 6.3 (which is what most interests me) will not be available for free for commercial use, even if the code is open ?

Yes. It's still requiring at least a gold license.
