We migrated index from ES-2.3.5 to ES-5.5.1 using snapshot and restore method. When we try to load the index in Kibana it shows bad request. The same index is loading in older Kibana 4.4 with ES-2.3.5.

you'll likely have to recreate your index patterns . if you point a clean install of Kibana v5.5.1 to ES v5.5.1, does it still break?
