Recommended Kibana upgrade from 6 to 7, different versions compared to ES?

Hi,

When upgrading from Kibana 6 to 7 the official documentation recommends upgrading to version 6.7 first and then to 7.

For Elasticsearch, it is recommended to upgrade to 6.8 first and then to 7.

Why is there a difference in the highest 6 version to upgrade to for Kibana and Elasticsearch (6.7 vs 6.8)? Is there a chance this is just a documentation issue?

I think I now understand why I was confused. Kibana documentation refers to an Upgrade Assistant that can helps you upgrade to Kibana 7. And the Upgrade Assistant is available starting in Kibana 6.7.
